For the small sized echidna, I've used Makr Organic cotton.
Approx. yarn lengths required:
Brown - 50m / 55yds
Yellow - 34m / 37yds
Blue - 34m / 37yds
Coral - 26m / 28yds
Taupe - 26m / 28yds
Black - 26m/ 28yds

For the plush echidna, I've used Hobbii Baby Snuggle polyester yarn.
Approx. yarn lengths required:
Brown - 50m / 55yds
Yellow - 35m / 38yds
Blue - 35m / 38yds
Orange - 27m / 30yds
Maroon - 27m / 30yds
Black - 27m/ 30yds

Skills needed to make this pattern

In order to successfully make this echidna, you will need to know how to complete:
- increases and decreases
- sewing on stuffed elements....there is a LOT of sewing for this toy!

If you intend to make the crochet eyes you will also need to be able to do:
- multiple colour changes
- be persistent with fiddly elements
