For this size and style of budgie, I've used Fiddlesticks Wren, cotton yarn.

Yellow - colour Duck #W006 - 120m / 132yds
Black - colour #W0001 - 90m / 99yds
Green - colour Mint #W034 - 80m / 88yds
Blue - colour Cornflower #W026 - 3m / 3yds
Light yellow - colour Butter #W004 - 3m / 3yds

Skills needed to make this pattern

In order to successfully make this budgie, you will need to know how to complete:
- increases and decreases
- crochet around a foundation chain
- sewing on various shapes and sizes of pieces, including flat and stuffed elements
-double stranded crochet
- lots and LOOOOOTS of colour changes!

If you intend to make the crochet eyes you will also need to be able to do:
- multiple colour changes
- be persistent with fiddly elements
